us are juggling busy lives, our bodies are changing, and our styles are evolving—and somewhere in between, we lose our fashion joy. We dress up just because we MUST.

Enter: the capsule wardrobe. This was the answer to all my closet dilemmas and it’s actually not rocket science. It’s not about having less. It’s about having what you love—and wearing it often. It’s about choosing pieces that fit your real life, flatter your beautiful body, and make you feel like you every single day.

So, let’s build a closet that hugs you back—one that works hard and makes you feel fabulous.

What is a Capsule closet?

A capsule closet is a small, intentional collection of clothing you can mix and match to create many outfits. Think 30–40 versatile pieces (including shoes and outerwear) that can carry you through a season without the “what should I wear today?” stress.

Step 1: Define Your Style (Not Instagram’s)

Before we talk clothes, let’s talk you. What makes you feel radiant, sexy or happy? Romantic, edgy, minimal, colorful, classic? What do you wear when you feel your most confident, most yourself?

Take note of your go-to outfits and the compliments you love. That’s your style DNA.

Step 2: Clear the Clutter, Guilt-Free

Pull everything out. Yup—everything. Then ask:

●   Do I love this? When did I last wear it?

●   Does it fit my body right now?

●   Do I actually wear it? How do I feel when I do?

Let go of the rest. (It’s not wasteful—it’s freeing.) Donate, sell, or store sentimental items elsewhere.

💛 Holding onto clothes that don’t serve you is like keeping books you’ll never read. Let them go and make space for what does.

Step 3: Choose Your Capsule Staples

Start with these timeless basics, and tweak them for your lifestyle and climate: Tops:

●   3–4 classic tees (white, black, neutral, or striped)- I love stripes 😉

●   2 blouses or button-up shirts (for now, stay away from florals and prints)

●   2 knits or sweaters (lightweight or chunky)

●   1 denim or statement jacket/ blazer

Bottoms:

●   2 jeans (your holy grail fit!)

●   1 tailored trouser

●   1–2 skirts (midi or pencil)

●   1 cozy jogger or lounge pant

Dresses & Layers:

●   1–2 dresses (casual and dressy)

●    1 layering cardigan or trench coat (I got a beige cardigan for my birthday from my sister that I absolutely love!

Shoes:

●   Neutral sneakers

●   Comfy flats or sandals

●   Ankle boots or heels

👗 These are your style building blocks—then sprinkle in fun pieces that express your personality.

Step 4: Make It YOU

Add you to the mix with textures, accessories, and seasonal pops:

●   A bold lip or signature perfume

●   Gold hoops, layered necklaces, or headbands

●   A colorful scarf, crossbody bag, or statement belt

Capsule doesn’t mean boring—it means thoughtful. Let each piece earn its place in your closet and life. Each piece needs to be able to easily work with another in your closet.

Step 5: Outfit Plan Like a Pro

Snap photos of combos you love on Instagram or Pinterest. Don’t shop randomly without thinking through your capsule closet goal! Try laying out outfits the night before. The goal? Less morning stress, more morning slay.
